About Us:

The MBA Tour is an organizer of graduate business school recruiting events. We organize over 60 events each year in Asia,
Australia, Europe, India, Africa, North and South America. Our events emphasize personal interaction between prospective
graduate business school students, admissions representatives, alumni and other like-minded education enthusiasts.
Established in 1993, we have built our reputation based on representing top business schools from around the world.

We are looking for team members who like working in a small team environment, and enjoy traveling! In addition to your
main responsibilities you will travel 4-6 weeks every year both domestically and internationally to manage and lead
our recruiting events. “Tour Leading” as we call it, is done in addition to your day to day responsibilities and is
an exciting experience to see your work efforts in action, and see the world!


About the Role: Director
Full time client relations and market development for North America. Tour Leader for domestic and international tours.

Compensation: Starting salary commensurate with past experience. Variable compensation based on sales. Variable compensation eligibility for 2019 for a start date before April 1, 2019.  Inquire for total compensation package, typically in the six figures

Location: Concord, Mass

The position will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities:

Business Development

  • Manage client university relationships with top business schools across North America
  • Travel to client campuses to strengthen and broaden relationships
  • Develop and maintain relationships with MBA marketing and admissions directors
  • Survey clients and MBA students to monitor appropriateness of current services and programs
  • Serve as an ambassador of The MBA Tour with the North American Advisory Board
  • Continuously seek to improve the way The MBA Tour communicates with its clients
  • Coordinate (and participate in) the research that supports continuously improving marketing efforts
  • Stay current with world events that impact demand for MBAs in different countries and regions
  • Research and further develop database of North American clients and partners assisting with international tours
  • Identify key admissions consultants, test prep centers, and key players in the media and press and cultivate relationships
  • Identity other relevant players in the MBA market


Program Development
Changes in the industry and MBA market require the continuing assessment of current products and services and the development of new ones. In conjunction with other tour leaders, it will be essential to:

  • Propose and develop enhancements to our current tours
  • Develop new programs that will address client needs
  • Propose new information sources to reinforce services


Tour Responsibilities:

  • Travel and Lead tours and train junior tour Leaders
  • Plan and execute events and activities while on tour
  • Assist with distribution of materials to tour members
  • Provide support and information to orient new tour members to optional activities
  • Coordinate production and organization of tour-related materials
  • Prepare registration materials
  • Database updates post tour
  • Website maintenance and updates to tour member’s web pages
  • Develop and update the tour itinerary
  • Assist with coordination and arrangement of tour logistics, working with the tour leaders and Event Manager
  • Manage set-up of events and coordinate on-site registration with local contractors
  • Assist with the development of tour-related publications
  • Assist with tour evaluations and collecting client feedback


Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, ideally in business but not a requirement.  Having an MBA is an advantage
  • Two to four years of commercial experience in account management, preferably in a knowledge-based professional services sector
  • Account management experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of the higher education industry is an advantage
  • Self-starter and motivated to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Networking skills are key for this role
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Fluent English is a necessity, other languages are a considerable advantage

About the Role: Event Operations Coordinator

We are looking for a highly motivated, detail oriented team member who loves planning and staying organized! The ideal candidate
has a passion for planning and logistics and also enjoys traveling and working across cultures. This candidate should have
extensive travel experience and an ability to problem solve and think on their feet! Candidates should be tech savvy, have
excellent communication and customer service experience.

This role’s main responsibilities will be to collaborate and support closely with the Events Manager to ensure the success
of 65+ events per year. This will include negotiating contracts, specific event logistics as well as the organization of event
information. Part of this role will include onsite management across the globe.


Event Management

  • Assist with venue research, negotiation, and selection.
  • Assist with event coordination and logistics.
  • Assist with client travel arrangements, communicating with travel agency, hotels, and clients.
  • Data entry with regards to event dates, venue information, timing etc on company website.
  • Edit/Create documents to prepare clients (business schools) for recruiting events.
  • Coordinate and prepare materials that need to be shipped to events.
  • Assist with organizing and updating exhibitor packs.
  • Assist Tour Leaders with creating event options online, itinerary creation, etc.
  • Assist clients with tour registration, signing up for options, login assistance and general questions.
  • Respond to general email and voice inquiries (from students, clients, vendors etc).

Travel Assistance/Client Liaison

  • “Go to” person for client (business school) questions across tours and events – (shipping, schedules, event logistics, travel, visa questions etc.)
  • Assist with itinerary updates where needed.
  • Assist clients with tour registration, signing up for options, login assistance etc.
  • Main contact for tour leader questions and assistance.
  • Create/upload options into our database, approve options and assist in managing panel participation.
  • Manage data on Tour Member web site, keeping current data available to clients.

Office Management

  • Liaison between web programmers and the company, working to implement changes, testing and updates.
  • Manage databases to ensure data is accurate, including client info, event dates and scheduled meetings.
  • Handle general email and phone inquiries, forwarding to appropriate colleagues when appropriate.
  • Manage ordering office and event supplies and keeping inventory.
  • Create/upload options into our database, approve options and assist in managing panel participation.
  • Manage data on Tour Member web site, keeping current data available to clients.

Website Management

  • Assist with website updates report issues to developer, and monitoring online content to ensure up to date event information.


Travel, Event & Client Management:

  • Travel 4-6 weeks out of the year both domestically and internationally
  • Ability to work long hours while traveling for events and being predominantly client facing. (This requires a high level of thinking on your feet, having strong problem solving abilities, and being efficient in order to keep up with your main role responsibilities, and it’s fun!)
  • Onsite manager for events: responsible for ensuring smooth operations for clients (business schools), event attendees (prospective applicants) and partner organizations, including set up, training registration staff, running the event format, managing on-site technology and event wrap-up requirements.
  • Main point of contact for all aspects of The MBA Tour while managing events for clients (high level of client management required)


  • Manage Tour Leader pre-event & post event activities: tour itinerary, some travel logistics, email communications with clients, updating and distributing tour documents to clients, planning additional activities outside of events in international cities: (social and professional)
  • Complete data entry and event data management required for tours


  • Bachelor’s Degree (2019 graduates are eligible to apply for this role, we will accommodate a start date after graduation)
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask
  • Ability to work with diverse constituents and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in small team environment
  • Experience with event management and negotiation
  • Fluency in a second language (specify in your application)
